National Lacy Dog Association:

The only Lacy Dog association that requires all breeders to walk the walk when it comes to working Lacy Dogs. The National Lacy Dog Association's mission is to preserve and promote the Lacy as a true working breed. They provide the historical information to support this commitment and only approve breeders dedicated to ethically producing the next generation of working Lacys.

Steve Williams currently serves on the Board of Directors.

For more information on the NLDA as well as the Lacy breed in general, visit National Lacy Dog Association and the official Working Lacy Dog Blog.

Animal Research Foundation:

The true original Lacy Dog registry. Tom D. Stodghill of the Animal Research Foundation registered the first Lacy Dog in 1976. Though the advent of registries more active in the marketing of Lacy Dogs for profit has slowed their registration of true working stock, the ARF and Mr. Stodghill's successor, Al Walker, remain dedicated to the breed and all working stock dogs.

Monteria Kennels is proud to support the ARF by exclusively utilizing this registry for our purebred Lacy Dogs.

Texas Dog Hunters Association:

The Texas Dog Hunters Association is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to preserving and protecting the right to hunt with dogs. In addition to giving back to the community through charitable events like Hunt for the Hungry and Trailblazers, they work on legislation that could effect dog hunters.

We proudly support the TDHA. If you believe hunters have the right to use dogs, we urge you to become a member at Texas Dog Hunters Association.

We are also active members of East Texas Hog Doggers and Texas Bowhunters.
